Summary:碩士 === 中山醫學大學 === 護理研究所 === 104 === Objective: The study is to investigate the distribution of weight and its affecting factors of the students with intellectual disabilities. Method:This research used the Secondary Qualitative Study method and targeted on the junior high students with intellectual disabilities of 2008 in the data base of Special Needs Education Longitudinal Study, SNELS. The study is based on the questionnaire survey from the students, parents and teachers and used SPSS 17.0 statistical to analyze the exploration of various variables associated with obesity Results:The amount of effective sample of this study is 410. The statistic shows that there are 133 students with intellectual disability who are also obese. And the average of BMI is 20.96, while the highest one reached 39.18 and the standard deviation is 4.71. The proportion of students with intellectual disability and obesity add up to 27.2% out of the total students, which is over a quarter. In addition, the statistical analysis shows that there are four factors affecting students with intellectual disability and body mass index.Personal factors as age and long-term medication,and family factors as whether the biological parents and home interactive object is Significant differences Discussion:There are not much activities yet mostly static ones for the students with intellectual disability, which can lead to obesity, and their family usually directly affect their body weight as well. In the future, we hope to take this research result as a reference to improve the health condition of students.
