Different ignition temperature and time were used in preparing the Manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) to determine the optimum condition and were characterized by SEM, XRD and SQUID VSM. The SEM analysis revealed that the morphology and particle size of the adsorbent contains nanoparticles of uniform circular structure. The evidence for the phase purity and formation of MnFe2O4 particles were validated by X-ray diffraction. The ferromagnetic behavior of prepared MnFe2O4 at temperature 400 ˚C, 600 ˚C and 800 ˚C was examined using VSM analysis and showed a saturation magnetization of 16.3 emu/g. The synthesized MnFe2O4 and Chi@MnFe2O4 were used in removing copper from aqueous solution. The experiment showed that MnFe2O4 obeys Langmuir Isotherm and maximum adsorption capacity is 0.571mg/g.; Chi@MnFe2O4 nanocomposite follows Freundlich Isotherm.
