Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士在職專班 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the implementation of tablet enhanced learning in teaching the insects unit for the fourth graders of one Elementary School. Recently, due to the development of mobile technology and the vigorous promotion of the Ministry of Education, ubiquitous learning has become a trend. In many studies, it has been proven to benefit students by the use of mobile device. In order to understand the effects on students’ achievement, students’ motivation and students’ feelings of tablet PCs integrated into STAD, the learning achievement test and the learning activities questionnaire were used in this research. Observation and open-ended questionnaire were also used to investigate the learning environment and implementation constraints.
Two classes of fourth graders participated in this experiment. We separated them into two groups: the experiment group learning with tablet PCs integrated into STAD cooperative learning strategy; the control group learning with traditional teaching on the STAD cooperative learning strategy. The teaching materials provided for the two groups are the same. Results of the field experiment show that: there are significant differences on learning achievement between the two groups, which indicates that tablet PCs integrated into STAD cooperative learning strategy to insects unit could promote students’ learning achievements. Besides, analysis of questionnaire surveys shows that there are significant differences between the two groups on students’ satisfactory of learning modes, which indicates that the learning mode provided by the tablet PCs integrated into STAD cooperative learning strategy is more acceptable.
