LiFePO4 batteries with instantaneous large current charge and discharge, long cycle life, resistance to overcharge, temperature resistance, high stability at high temperatures and high heat environment, and there is no overheating or explosion safety concerns. The LiFePO4 material is environment-friendly, does not cause environmental pollution. So LiFePO4 battery is safety, environmental protection batteries. Triggered the rise of the global green energy related industries, created a new opportunity for LiFePO4 battery industry when global warming and environmental consciousness. Therefore, this article intends to analyze and discuss the market structure of LiFePO4 battery industry, manufacturers and operating performance behavior in Taiwan, and to provide domestic LiFePO4 battery industry and government recommendations. According to the results of the industry expected to enhance industrial competitiveness niche. This study was aimed to explore the operating status of LiFePO4 battery industry in Taiwan. Using Industrial Economics Structure-Conduct –Performance(S-C-P) theoretical analysis of market structure, conduct and performance. (1) The study used Tow-Firm Concentration Ratio (CR2) and Herfindahl- Hirschman Index (HHI) as the index to measure the concentration of the market. (2) Mining SWOT analysis and Five Forces Model of LiFePO4 battery industry’s manufacturers of behavior and competitive strategy in Taiwan. (3) Use the assessment index from a financial point of view to measure the operating performance of the industry. (4) The case studies and interviews with experts to learn more about the management policy, competitiveness and development strategy. The results showed: (1) The market structure of LiFePO4 battery industry in Taiwan from 2009 to 2014 tends to be highly concentrated. (2) We founded that the manufacturer behavior of LiFePO4 battery industry should to enhance value-added products and technical in the direction of integration, in order to enhance LiFePO4 battery industry competitiveness in Taiwan. (3) In terms of operating performance, Psi’s four performance indicators are the best, display the business strategy and capacity than an advantage.
