碩士 === 長庚大學 === 商管專業學院 === 104 === The purpose of this study is exploring how an Enterprise Modeling (EM) can help portraying the structure and dependencies within a department of a small-medium enterprise (SME). It is also aiming to deliver input for firms about IT and business components integration. The company case is an import-export company in Indonesia, Company U, and the department that is being examined is the Export Department. Observation, interview, and documentation were used to collect data. The EM method used to be applied in the company case is 4EM (For Enterprise Modeling) Method. The results of the study would be the six interrelated sub-models of the Export Department of Company U: (1) Goals Model; (2) Business Rules Model; (3) Concepts Model; (4) Business Processes Model; (5) Actors and Resources Model; and (6) Technical Components and Requirements Model. Limitations and suggestions for further research were also discussed in this study.
