To watch those emotional changes under different lightings are subject worthy of study. The purpose of the study is to explore the different effects of the irradiation light on the formation of a shadow portrait and psychological profile of characteristics for the viewers’ emotional impact. Two through screening experiments, makes appropriate, with 13 adjectives used to evaluate the portrait of emotional vocabulary. With demographic between 15-40 years old and likely to be the closest of the age groups to portrait photography, using questionnaires to measure in a subjective emotional way. For 18 kinds of light direction and six kinds of light tonality to assess the subject's outlook in the same environmental conditions. After watching portraits of emotional imagery reactions. The results showed that different light direction and light tone irradiation on the portrait, the viewer has a different emotional reaction. In a symmetric angle relative light source direction and tone of the opposition, confirms the light direction symmetry and light tone has oppositional. Another 45-degree correlation analysis showed that Rembrandt light Source (typically 45 of the light source) and in this study three axes 45 degrees were used as light source. Having produced similar emotions, the gender factor in this study showed that different sexes will be measured by the emotional impact of the cognitive subject. Finally, this study all 108 photos (with different light effects and other stimulus factors) conformed to the degree of emotional imagery aggregated from and that within the symbol. Through the method and the results of this study we can also provide a follow-up of similar studies. For reference and the use of portrait photography in other related industries.
