A community's development decides the prosperity of community’s economy. Marketing, promoting, and other related activities are acting as the major driving forces behind the growth of the community-based economy.
The inspiration of this dissertation comes from the observation of author after visiting the coffee beans farmers for the coffee business in the Liaji tribute on Alishan. This research provides an explanation and linkage to the development of the business model currently conducting in Liaji tribute which to help stimulate the constant evolving and sustainable growth of this local community economic business industry. Moreover, some extend and benefit this model can provide after utilize in the larger society. The method conducted in this research using the literature review. With reference from the governmental policies and recent year case studies, a list of criteria toward community economic success can collect and conclude. i.e. a successful case study regarding to reformation of Wu Mi Le Community in Tainan. By conducting the interviews with tribal elders, culture workers and cooperatives business allow the deeper exploration of the current challenge.
By introducing the "Diffusion of Innovation” model , multiple economic solution models can be proposed, amend and eventually adopt. 〝Rainforest coffee program〞 is a typical example by means of “Diffusion of Innovation” model. The project executor proposed to reform the production environment, marketing system, agricultural items and work force management currently use in the Liaji tribute to mimic toward the system currently adopted by the farmers from Bener Meriah county in Indonesia, a successful coffee bean provenance with similar condition with Liaji tribute. These proposals can provide an effective production strategy first applying to the basic unit of a community economic business industry: a family. After the improvement of the economic condition on a single item, i.e. coffee beans works, the same steps of success then can be used to improve and conduct on the other agricultural items produced by the family unit. These gradually accumulate into a standard procedure and best suit for the development of the entire community to better prepare and support the overall development of the community business industry.
