The system structure includes a PMSM, a three-phase three-wire inverter, the auxiliary circuits and the peripheral circuits of the micro-controller. This research combines high frequency injection and extended-EMF to achieve position sensorless control. High frequency injection is adopted to estimate the rotor speed and the rotor position. It is suitable for the motor at black start and low speed. When the motor is driven to steady speed, the driver will be switched to the extended-EMF estimator to drive motor at high speed. The space vector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) is implemented in this thesis for division-summation (D-Σ) current control. All the controls are accomplished via the micro-controller.
