Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 化學工程研究所 === 104 === This study utilized rheometer to characterize the rheological behaviors of the individual components of home-made carbon pastes, and investigated the effect of different mixing methods during sample preparation. First, rheological analysis of the vehicles composed of different fractions of ethyl cellulose was conducted to help identify suitable viscosity range for the organic vehicle. Among the vehicles investigated, 5 wt% ethyl cellulose was selected to mix with different weight fractions of carbon black for rheological characterizations.
Moreover, we scrutinized the effect of different mixing processes, which utilized planetary centrifugal mixer with or without three-roll mill, on the rheological properties of carbon pastes. Further, we observed the printing lines of carbon paste by optical microscope. We found that it is an effective way to tune the viscoelasticity of a carbon paste by changing the concentrations of ethyl cellulose and carbon black. Besides, the viscoelasticity of carbon paste increases after the further treatment of a three-roll mill.
