In this paper,we investigate the power saving in a two-tier heterogeneous cellular network.Consider a system which consists of one macrocell and 20 femtocells,and randomly generated 10、20、30 users in this system.In this system,user is according to his/her location to choose which base station of macrocell or one of the adjacent femtocell to connect.If the base station no traffic and users connect in a time,this base station will enter the sleep mode to decrease the power consumption.This paper we investigate the power saving probability of base station enter the sleep mode.Power saving probability is affected by lots of various factors.Moreover,power saving probability will decide the total power consumption of this system.Therefore,use an efficient approach to assessment power saving is a very important job.
