The turnover of CEO must cause the huge effects on either strategy or the direction of the enterprise. From 1990s, recruiting CEO from outside the company is a trend; based on the Outsider CEO can stimulate the reform and growth of the company by bringing new knowledge and skills to the new company. However, how an outsider CEO transfers their tangible assets such as knowledge, skills and experiences to the new company is worth of discussion. Therefore, this study focuses on examining the relationship between social capital and the behaviors of knowledge transfer and pivot process by case study of qualitative analysis to analyze the successful knowledge transferring strategies and methods of two outstanding outsiders CEO. According to the results of this study shows: 1. For “Cross-industry outsider CEO” terms, social capital has no significant help against the action of knowledge transfer. However, using experience from the past can make up for the lack of social capital. Besides, the use of “metaphor” and “story-telling” can simplify the professional concepts in order to speed up the process of transferring; 2. For “Identical-industry outsider CEO”, Social capital has a positive impact on helping knowledge transfer. In addition, it is recommended before introducing the new system, first proceed with “Construction of organizational culture” before implement the new organization system, then use “Team Diffusion” to stimulate the process of transferring; 3. Through investment and participation “knowledge platform” which is consisted of “multi-professional members” not only it can help outsider CEO to gain more social capital, but also help them spread their ideas and bring positive effect for the industry.
