The performance of lion dance adopted the spirits of the ancestors while it diversifies by time. It exists in temple fairs, religious carnivals, activities of praying, and celebrations of all trade in industrial and commercial society. Nowadays, it also becomes one of the academic activities by the impetus of the government for the purpose of retaining the folk cultures. This study adopts Purposive Sampling for the questionnaire which is issued to members who connect with the lion dance. The amount of pre-sampling questionnaires is 60 as the formal one is 240. The census data were collected by using Descriptive Statistics, Independent-Sample T Test, One-way ANOVA, and Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient.This research results are as follows:1. From the aspects of history and culture as well as the characteristics of religion, sports and entertainment, the lion dance continues the value of social interactions.2. From the viewpoint of social interactions, religious fairs are the main occasions for the lion dance, which contains strong social support.3. From the perspective of participative behavior, the subjects perform with confidence and gain the self-actualization by attending the lion dance. In addition, they devote themselves to the folk cultures and expect a better development of lion dance.4. Gender diversity and seniority would influence the subjects’ recognition of self-actualization and the participating expectation. Male > female, 4 years > 1~3 years.5. The relationship between the interactive value, the interactive generalization and the participative behavior of the lion dance show a moderately positive connection.With this study, the departments of education are given suggestions as follows: 1. The source of fee, 2. The management of instructors, 3. The formulation of the teaching materials, 4. Continuing the performance with sufficiency of all sorts of assistance. Suggestions to schools: 1. Raise the fund actively, 2. Encourage the groups to participate competitions or performances, 3. Organize the long-term groups, add up practicing time, 4. Hold the summer and winter camps to encourage people learning the lion dance. Suggestions to Han-Ming martial art hall its members: 1. Keep the decent image, earning the approval of school, 2.The participants participate actively while abiding by the moral principles of the lion dance for the purpose of understanding the inner cultural value of the lion dance.
