碩士 === 元智大學 === 社會暨政策科學學系 === 103 === Abstract The purpose of this research was to investigate the senior Bade San-Yuan Temple volunteers’service condition,their original participative motives,substance of participative serving activities transformation after the participation,continued participative factors, as well as difficulties and solutions. This study was preceded with qualitative research method by in-depth interviewing eight volunteers and six related participants with the semi-structured questions, to analyse the San-Yuan Temple volunteers' partical participative experience and thoughts. The results of the research were as the followings: The participative motives of the San-Yuan Temple volunteers were altruistic factors, personal factors, and the important persons. The substance of the San-Yuan Temple volunteers’ serving activities was divided into the contents of service and the contents of learning. As to the contents of service, included the various participation of the serving modes, the flexible serving time and the widely serving clients. So as to the contents of learning, included the visible acquirement of knowledge and technique,as well as the invisible acquirement of cultivating moralcharacters. As to the volunteers’ transformations,included personality, habits, family relationship, and social relationship; furthermore, the continued participative factors were the personal improvements, encouragements from the others, the environmental supports, and the organizational climate. Finally, the difficulties of the contents of the volunteers’ participation were the personal factors, social factors, and organizational factors. The solutions to the difficulties of volunteers’ participation are maintaining the health, clarifying family's misunderstanding, self-adaption, and the supports of organization.
