However, it has become increasingly difficult for these institutions to recruit students due to the low fertility. How to improve the quality of education and enhance the competitiveness has become the key strategy for higher education institutions. A certain engineering institute of a certain university (hereafter "Institute A") has passed the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) certification as well as the engineering certification for the 2013 academic year. In this study, we adopted the literature review method to understand the significance of teaching excellence and introduce the application of the two-dimensional quality model. Subsequently, we used the census data over the years after Institute A has passed the IETT as well as the Dual Importance Mapping(DIM) method to perform the Kano two-dimensional quality attribute classification for the teaching quality attributes of Institute A to explore its teaching quality improvement strategies in depth. Finally, we proposed specific improvement directions based on the classification results in order to provide post-certification feedback and references for subsequent research.
