Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 103 === This thesis presents a hybrid approach combining multiple criteria decision making methods based on intuitionistic fuzzy set (IFS) for manufacturing camera lens module. This technology selection problem involves complex factors and making a right decision will significantly benefit the case company’s competence in industry. Intuitionistic fuzzy multiple criteria decision making (IF-MCDM) provides experts or decision-makers with a flexible and comfortable means to express their opinions in evaluating the importance of each criterion and rating the performance of each alternative with respect to each criterion. The IFS allows the degrees of satisfaction and non-satisfaction for each assessment.
The proposed IF-MCDM model utilizes IFS and Kano model to screen the criteria and establish the evaluation framework. To the best of our knowledge, this screening technique is novel. In the next step, two methods, in which one employs the IFS calculations to TOPSIS and the other to Grey Relational Analysis (GRA), were used to appraise the criteria weights and rate the alternative with respect to each criterion. The results of the two methods are compared and analyzed in order to conclude the best decision. One particular feature of the proposed model is that its calculations takes into account the importance degree of each expert’s opinion based on his status and experience.
To validate the usefulness of the proposed IF-MCDM model, a case study for selecting the best Camera Lens Module Manufacturing Process among five alternatives was implemented. An expert group was formed to provide consultation service during the decision making process. The group consists of seven highly qualified employees from diverse and relevant departments of the case company, such as manufacturing, technology development, R&;D development, and the project manager. The group suggested five alternatives as follows: chip on flex (COF), chip on board (COB), ceramic leadless ship carrier (CLCC), Flip chip (FC), and chip scale package (CSP).
Based on the rating scores by the experts and the calculation methods of the IF-MCDM model, the study ranks the five alternatives as follows: FC > COB > CLCC > CSP > COF. Compared to the other four alternatives, FC has greater flexibility in choosing materials and diversity in manufacturing products, as well as higher production efficiency and high productivity.
