Many fashion magazines in this period used illustration to be as their main visual design techniques, a fusion of aesthetic trends, fashion style and social atmosphere. Illustration is one of the most important factors in fashion magazines. Although illustration has declined because of the rise of photographic techniques, in recent years in the use of technology and new media, the designer of styles, a wide range of performance issues, so that fashion illustration technique of expression is more abundant. For this study, the fashion magazine cover illustration for the layout design layout and visual design elements, with over a century of historic fashion magazine ─ "VOGUE" as the research object, the golden age of illustration in the range from 1900 to 1950 the magazine cover. The study was divided into three phases, the first phase of a literature survey, through visual elements, layout arrangement, the first half of the twentieth century fashion design background and Western art style, and other related documents for further study argument; the second stage is content analysis, cover illustration for choreography techniques, content and visual design elements were analyzed and summarized its cover features; the third stage of the focus group method, obtained by the foregoing analysis to classify and summarize the information.
