Especially high definition camera is the primary specification of high level Tablet PC. In this paper, we design a 13 mega-pixels lens system by Zemax. From the beginning of progress of Tablet PC development, introduction of optical principle, comparison of sensor and material selection. Then we set the optical specification based on the preceding analysis and select the initial configuration to meet the system. Finally, we do further optimize for the system by Zemax and make the imaging quality to meet the design requirements. Our design adopt five-piece plastic lens with aspherical lens elements, since the optical plastic with light weight, low cost, easy processing characteristics. The total track length is less than 8mm, which meet the compact requirements of the lens. In terms of image quality, because the main imaging area of camera lens is 0.7 FOV. The result shows that the system has execllent image quality, the MTF value of FOV 0.7 is more than 0.5 in 192.5 lp/mm, and more than 0.2 in 385 lp/mm. The lateral color is less than a pixel size 1.3 μm at all field. The optical and TV distortion are less than 2% at all field, the human eye is not easy to recognize.
