Rice industry is either professional or long history. Rice is widely applied in our life. Therefore, I will deep the subject at one part of vertical integrate - raw material procuring and focus on wet rice procuring at S area, peripheral supply chain in related suppliers and farm’s cooperatives. The environment both in domestic or international is vicious competitively. How company becomes more official and powerful it’s competitive? How it operates related-diversification to enhance competitive in rice supply chain? The investigation uses case study to analysis its opportunity and threat in external environment and 5 forces analysis to figure out the possibility if the company is able to work outward and backward integrate in current or potential competitors. The conclusion is as below: 1. Case study belong big buyer and tends to procure raw material-wet rice. Now, it has to consider the marginal effect of quantity and price 2. According to the procuring quantity in present buyers, the company must integrate peripheral supply chain in related suppliers and accumulate negotiating capacity to reduce cost and share activity in related equipment. 3. The case study’s parent company has excellent performance in rice sales. Therefore, it has to use leverage core competence. 4. In the view of food security and higher consumer’s consciousness, case company trends to require high quality and non-genetically modified food. This is new challenge to case company.
