Summary: | 碩士 === 育達科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系碩士班 === 103 === Participating in arts and cultural activities makes gradual and imperceptible influence on teenagers’ life, mind, and body. Through experiencing various arts and cultural activities, teenagers get to know their interests, adjust focuses in their life, have access to a source of inner sustenance while they grow and mature, and smoothly weather the storm of adolescence. The current selective education system in Taiwan has an unbalanced focus on students’ development of intelligence yet neglects opportunities and time for teenagers to participate in arts and cultural activities. In light of this, this study aims to explore different factors that affect teenagers’ participation in arts and cultural activities.
Using questionnaire as the survey method and junior high school students as research subjects, this study looks into teenagers’ attitudes toward participation in arts and cultural activities, subjective attitudes, and perceived behavior control. Further, this study reviews relevant documents, employs the modified Delphi method, gathers expert consensus, organizes and analyzes influencing factors.
According to the research results, the hierarchical dimensions of the factors highly valued by teenagers are in the following order: participation attitude, subjective attitude and perceived behavioral control. The indicators most influenced by the highly valued factors are in the order of psychological effect, dependent subjects, participation activeness, and educational effect. The research results can serve as a reference for the Ministry of Education and arts and cultural organizations to design arts and cultural activities for the youth, and help parents and teachers to improve the quality of teenagers’ arts and cultural life.
