Underweight and overweight people tend to suffer threats to health and lead to inconvenience and distress life. This study uses the recommended method of World Health Organization (WHO) which applies height and weight to calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI) in order to define the underweight, healthy weight and overweight. After collecting all the relevant factors which affect body weight, this study concludes six influencing factors including body constitution, quantity of diet, type of diet preference, eating habit, behavior and quality of life and emotion. In order to facilitate the analysis and comparison, this study focused on people aged 18 to 50 and used questionnaires to collect the influencing factors of body weight from their living habits. After further analysis and sorting of importance among the influencing factors of body weight, this study found that the order of importance among the influencing factors of body weight was: (1)quantity of diet, (2)body constitution, (3)eating habit, (4)behavior and quality of life, (5) emotion and (6)type of diet preference. It indicated that the quantity of diet on body weight was the most influencing factor, followed by body constitution for the second, and the third was eating habit as well as behavior and quality of life was the fourth. The emotion was the fifth which has little influence of body weight. The type of diet preference was the last which has almost no effect on body weight. This study found the importance order of influencing factors of body weight in order to help people who has weight control problem to find a solution.
