碩士 === 育達科技大學 === 資訊管理所 === 103 === This research is targeted on the students in junior high school in order to investigate their current situation of using smart phones including purposes and the impact on their academic performance. The correlation of using smart phones and it’s impacts was analyzed with surveys and in-depth interviews. The surveys were carried out on the students of Miaoli County Tong-Xiao Junior High School and the interviews were done with teachers, parents and students respectively so that the results of interviews and surveys can be cross-confirmed. The research result is in hope to help educational authorities, teachers and parents get a better idea of the current situation of junior high school students using smart phones and its impact on their academic performance. Based on that, we can set up regulations for our students to use their smart phones more properly so under parents and teachers’ guides, smart phones can be used in a way that life is made more convenient and diversified assists can be provided
