Description
Summary:碩士 === 吳鳳科技大學 === 消防研究所 === 103 === Smoke exhaust equipment needs to be set for some kind of buildings accordind to Installation Standards of Fire Protection Equipment (ISFPE). However, natural ventilation windows set in the building with high ceiling space may cause the downwind phenomenon due to the influence of external natural air, or the temperature stratification on the top of a building because of solarization. These phenomena may lead to the smoke running around all over the place and endanger the safety of personnel. This study investigates the influence of natural wind on smoke exhaust of high ceiling space by Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) to simulate smoke flow distribution, temperature distribution and visibility distribution and to determine whether the smoke control system designed to meet the performance needs of staff safe refuge. 1MW fire intensity heat release rate was used in 10 different scenarios. Results showed that the building with air lock room, or with smoke storage at the top and a sliding roof, smoke trap design, and for safe passage of asylum segments such as air curtain, smoke barrier and other segments of interior space has a superior performance on smoke exhaust and the best available control smoke.
