Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 休閒運動管理學系碩士班 === 103 === The purpose of this study was to indentify the current situation of participants of elementary school teachers in Taipei participating in badminton sport from different backgrounds as well as discuss the difference and correlation among leisure involvement, leisure benefits. A questionnaire survey was implemented to 387 participants from 2015 Taipei City Education Cup Elementary School’s Badminton Championship. A total of 380 valid questionnaires were collected with validation rate of 98%. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent-sample t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis. The findings of this study were summarized as follows:
1. The proportion of both sexes of elementary school teachers in Taipei city participating badminton sport of proportion were similar. Participants 36~45 years old achieved the highest proportion: 43.9%. Twice a week achieved the highest proportion: 40.5%. Exercise for 61~90 minutes every time achieved the highest proportion: 34.5%. Exercise for over 15 years achieved the highest proportion: 27.6%. In education levels, the population of master (55%) was the highest. In marriage situation, the population of married was the highest.
2. In population background, exercise frequency of a week and years of exercise had significant differences in leisure involvement and leisure benefits. Age had significant differences in leisure involvement.
3. Participating badminton sport three times a week was higher than leisure benefits. 91~120 minute of exercise was higher than 31~60 minute in psychology benefits and higher than 30 minute below in leisure involvement of attractioin and centrality of lifestyle. Exceed 15 years sport seniority was more than one year in leisure involvement. Exceed 12 years sport seniority more than one year in leisure benefits. Therefore, we should encourage beginners to maintain the habits of playing badminton because more leisure involvement gets leisure benefits.
4. The findings in Pearson correlation analysis, badminton sport had high correlation(r= .775) in leisure involvement and leisure benefits. More leisure involvement degree gets more feelings of leisure benefits.
5. There correlation between self-expression and psychological benefits had the highest degree(r= .706). Badminton sport participants not only show true self and sport style but also face challenges with postive thinking.
Conclusions: Badminton sport suit participating of elementary school teachers all life long. It makes human being feel joyful, relieve pressure, maintain healthy physical, and enhance interpersonal relatioinship. When they face challenges and get praise from teammates, they also receive satisfaction of accomplishment. Therefore, we should encourage beginners to maintain the habits of playing badminton.
