The study adopted qualitative research method, conducting in-depth interviews by purposeful sampling, accompanied with questionnaire survey. Participants were recruited from senior high school students. The study investigated the impacts of the text reading programs on the reading abilities of these students' participation in school reading activities for two consecutive years. The research tools were of the reading programs "the implementation of reading programs in-depth interviews Outline, in-depth interview conducted and imformation analyzed ", as well as " questionnaire about the viewpoints of senior high school students with regard to promoting reading programs in their schools ". Based on the participants' response, data analyzed through the mean and standard deviation, the conclusions are drawn as follows: I. Most students who participated in text reading programs hold positive views on the implementation of the programs. a.Most students consider it to be able to initiate reading motivation and interest that reading samples are provided before promoting the text reading programs. b.Most students consider promoting text reading , asking guided questions , and leading them to integrate the information of the reading to be able to enhance their reading abilities. c.Reading active reading articles provided by teachers irregularly in class together is able to broaden high school students' reading horizons. d.Most students consider presenting masters' lectures , inviting the authors of their text reading to be able to have a more profound understanding of the reading. II. Most students consider text reading has a positive impact on reading abilities. Designed topics to guide students to clarify the concept of text reading has positive impacts on the enhancement of senior high school students' understanding of the articles, stretching concepts, and their reading abilities to analyze, compare, integrate, judge, think and evaluate. In the end, ccording to the result of the study, some concrete suggestions are provided as reference for teachers, chools, education administrative organizations, and further studies.
