Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 歷史與地理學系 === 103 === This thesis is plotted by Henri Lefebvre’s triplicate spatial dialectics. Through archives, visual images, and field trips, it is armed for analyzing three different layers of cultural landscape. Firstly, the writer explores the designers’ representation of space, consolidating the inner significance of the landscapes for 228 Peace Park. Then, she researches the users’ spatial practice, understanding Taipei citizens perception and interaction with this space. Finally, she dissects the space of representation, how the users not merely use the space practically, but transcend its symbolic meaning as well. By three dymensions of spatial analysis, the representation of space, the spatial practice, and the space of representation, this research represents a Japanese urban park, permeating the atmosphere of Japanese tradition in its colonial political consideration. In the stage of KMD Government, the park was transformed into the integrating Chinese culture, and after the ruling of Martial law, into Taiwanese localism. 228 Park merges itself with the different ideologies in different stages, and Taipei urban people experience its different features, including the landscapes which the Japanese designed and shaped first, the political ideologies which the users perceived and forged, and today through the users’ imagination the park vivify its image beyond its original purpose of designing and creating.
