Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 應用物理暨化學系自然科學教學碩士學位班 === 103 === This study aims to investigate the connotations behind Chinese idioms that carry knowledge covered in STEM fields, and the teaching practice of this material using the Scientific Inquiry Method。 A report on the results of an experiment designed for the current research is presented, where the collected data of school pupils’ learning in both STEM fields and language courses were qualitatively analyzed。 The instructional materials in this experiment were designed according to the ADDIE model。 The sample came from nine male and eight female students in an elementary school in Taipei, Taiwan。 These participants were introduced to three main categories of set themes in extracurricular settings for a complete duration of twelve weeks followed by final assessments to gather data on their learning outcomes。 Through data-analysis, it is shown that students’ creative thinking can be developed through this teaching sequence with STEM fields, and the Scientific Inquiry Method can help enhance the capabilities of problem-solving as well as those of interdisciplinary integration。 Their attitudes and relative skills can also change for the better
