Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立大學 === 幼兒教育學系碩士班 === 103 === The purpose of the study was to assess children inhibition development. Another aim was to find out temperament difference and stability in different age. Researcher assessed 124 children reactions to an unfamiliar person and objects in an unfamiliar lab. Children participated in this procedure designed to elicit behavior inhibition when they are 14 months and 24months. Behavior representing the child’s reactions toward the stranger, mother, and novel objects were coded. To find out the inhibition stability, researcher divided all children into three groups, included high inhibition children, middle inhibition children, and low inhibition children. Mother completed Toddler Temperament Scale (TTS) In order to find out temperament difference and stability between two ages. The results revealed that there are 24% high inhibition children remain stable, 35% low inhibition children remain stable. And most of the high/low inhibition children will change to middle inhibition. The withdrawal component of temperament scale was different between three groups. High inhibition children have the highest stability in temperament scale with no components changed. Middle inhibition children have the lowest stability. Although the researcher can’t make the conclusion that the inhibition and temperament is stability or not, this study shows the stability of inhibition and temperament in a specific age.
