The measurements applied in this study included Emotion Management Scale and Peer Relationships Scale. The participants consisted of the seven and eighth graders in Tainan city. A total of 1463 effective samples were collected. The obtained data was analyzed with statistics methods such as descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANONA, Pearson’s product-moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression. The results of this study were summerized as follows: 1. Emotional management of overall status of Tainan junior high schoolstudents is slightly good. The using of emotional awareness and statusare better. The status of motional expression and emotional regulation level are good. 2. The overall status of peer relationships of Tainan City junior high school students is better; social anxiety level of the current situation is better, and the situation of social anxiety happens less. The level status of friendship is good. 3. The emotional management status of Tainan City junior high schoolstudents varies with gender and the parental education level. Different grades and the school sizes have less influence. However,the home rankings, family category and the school location have no effect. 4. The peer relationships status of Tainan City junior high school students varies with gender and the parental education level. Different grades, family category , school size, and the location of school have less influence. But it has no difference in different homes ranking. 5.The emotional management and peer relationships of junior high school students in Tainan City were moderately correlated. 6. The emotional management and peer relationships of junior high school students in Tainan City have relationship with each other. According to the conclusions, suggestions for schools, the educational administration, and future studies were proposed. Keywords: junior high school students, emotion management, peer relationships
