With the advanced living condition and health technology nowadays ,both of the developing and developed countries are encountering the concern of “aged society”. The technological devices that interfaces become gradually daintier, thinner and smaller, however, are difficult to use for elderly. For the reason mentioned above, the present study aims to discuss the habits and requirement for elder to use small-size interface of devices and survey the control condition. The study focused on pedometer as object product to assess and test the design of its function interface. The research is separated into two stages. The first stage conducted a questionnaire survey to research the requirement of pedometer function and fondness of small interface of elderly. Second stage performed a test of interface functiontask. The result of first stage showed that the interface of modern products 1.9×4.2cm is acceptable for elderly but they prefer font size 32 in number (DS-Digital)and 18 in Chinese (Microsoft JhengHei), which revealed the tendency of bigger characters. The background colors are green, gray and light beige. Black font color and three buttons type device have high acceptance. The stage two tests involved 25 participants and they perform it by controlling the pedometer interface simulation. The study were consisted of control factors in three colors (green, gray and light beige) and three sets of buttons (two, three and four buttons) and designed nine differentinterface based on them. The participants were asked to complete the tasks that operated in nine interfaces. The time of participants took on the tasks were recorded in the process as the criterion of assessment. The test conducted the interface usage questionnaire survey at last. The analyses ANOVA of the data are showed as follows: (1) Color of the interface background has no effect to the control process of elderly. (2) Three button type small-size control interface pedometerare accepted by elderly. (3) Combination of texts and graphics improves identical level for elderly. (4) The section of menu should be simplified for elder to use devices conveniently. Cheng-Hung Huang 黃臣鴻 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 96 zh-TW |
