Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 鋼琴合作藝術研究所 === 103 === In the western music history development, there is much less researches that aim on Spanish music compare to those Germanys and Austrians. Although there are a lot of European composers loved to compose by using unique Spanish folklore as their theme since nineteenth century. However, until late nineteenth century, Falla(1876-1949), and other Spanish composers started to spread their own nationalism, Spain finally started to have its own “Golden Ages of Spanish Music”. In this period of time, there were a lot of important Spanish composers rising, and Falla was one of them.
Falla is one of the essential and iconic composers in the Spanish music history during 20th century. His composition technique was blending the elements of Spanish tradition folksongs, rhythms, dance, instruments and so forth in Romantic era composition style. This type of composition brought the Spanish music to the ultimate attainment. A Lot of compositions of Falla were adapted by Spanish famous folksongs, or directly used the traditional melodies from his home country, such as Siete Canciones populares Espaňolas, 1914. This work shows the traditional folk-melodies materials and its rhythm. Further, Falla wrote many guitar-like writing in the piano part, and this made the whole piece had more Spanish special taste. This duo Siete Canciones populares Espaňolas has many different versions for different instruments due to its popularity. This thesis is going to analyze the version for violin and piano. One is going to discuss the original version by its verse text and provide the interpretation on the point of collaborative pianists’ view.
