Most of the time, it’s not a real question but a doubt！This documentary, 「Tug？」 is a journey about three pullers of Chinese Taipei men's tug of war team who are from different life background and who lost qualifications of tug of war world cup in 2012 but won the Taiwan’s first men's tug of war world champion in 2014.
Recently, tug of war becomes famous in Taiwan because of Chinese Taipei woman’s tug of war team glory for the country continuously. People knew this sport with varies of medias by news, reports, documentaries, and even films, but just few of them knew that we have Chinese Taipei men's tug of war team as well.
Sport education is not the mainstream subject in Taiwan, not to mention that「tug of war」is not one of Olympic objects but just a fun game by misunderstanding. Be educated and get suffering from training by an unknown sport object is difficult to understand by family, friends or others.
The first chance in 2012 to Chinese Taipei men's tug of war team to stand on the tug of war world champion platform was taken by baffling accident. Pullers work badly but knock down by second. How they go through that frustration and push up to the top again. Before dreams come true, the test of reality will still be waiting for them.
