To re-establish topophilia in the badlands village -The community empowerment experience by the jute and the Chung-Te community in Kaohsiung

碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 建築藝術研究所 === 103 === Chung-Te community is located Tianliao District, Kaohsiung. Its terrain is mostly mudstone bad land. The local residents survive in the adverse environment, where the diversified local industries were developed. Chung-Te community put into the rank of community development in early phase, but it’s a pity that it slowly faded later. In 2004, it started from the Moon World Reconstruction Program, expecting to drive community residents to reignite community enthusiasm, but it was not as expected eventually. This research adopts action research method in Chung-Te community, to introduce new practice and resources in the concept of community construction. Researcher proactively undertakes the role of Secretary-General of community development association. Starting from creating characteristics of community environment, it takes the seniors of the Love Site in the community as the foundation, to consolidate affection through having dinner and learning together, as well as enhance community organization capacity through holding various activities. All these accumulate more action conditions. In recent years, Chung-Te community gradually fished out to explore thick reminiscence affection for the local ancient early industry by taking [Ancient Early Industry Recovery Action] as the center and selecting jute as the subject, which conducts survey of oral history among the old people in the community. The ancient early industry recovery actions are taken based on the three major dimensions including [recovery of production], [product development and manufacturing] and [technology inheritance]. Besides sorting community construction experience of Chung-Te community since 2004, the research pays special attention to practical participation experience since 2011. The research finds that community action of Chung-Te ancient early industry recovery helps to reconstruct the local affection and reaches organizational reconstruction capability of community development association in certain degree. The characteristics, functions and procedural fun of the action leading role-jute are keys to the success. Besides, with the goal of sustainable operation, Chung-Te must gradually enter the next stage from the present community construction stage and return from recovery of ancient early industry to nature of production, which is closely correlated with ecology and life. Regarding [production, ecology and life] as a whole body is a key for sustainable development of the community. Finally, combining value and mission of tourism and education on this badland, the researcher suggests creating an ideal sustainable community by the spirit of [ecological museum].
