This study explored and described the relationship between people’s naturalistic consciousness and place consciousness based on Song Zelai’s perspectives of creative consciousness, epiphany theory, and magical realism fiction. This research was structured into three sections. Section 1 included the origin of magical realism, literary thoughts, and the connection between Song Zelai and magical realism. Section 2 involved how Song Zelai’s Chan Yu Wen Xue Ti Yan acted as the inspiration of place consciousness and initiated a conversation with naturalistic consciousness. The fundamental research on the epiphany theory was based on the three consciousness models of the three fields of being, nihility, and śūnyatā in Nishitani Keiji’s Between the Secular and Religious to interpret the epiphanic place consciousness and people’s naturalistic place as explained by Song Zelai. These three fields helped this study develop the discussions on the place consciousness shown in fiction. Section 3 explored the meaning of naturalistic place in magical realism, including temples, blocks, and train stations by scrutinizing these three places as presented in Song Zelai’s magical realism books. The naturalistic places in Song Zelai’s magical realism works investigate the solidness of nihility, representing the life consciousness that is both realistic and magical. Moreover, he projected what he regarded as the nihility of consciousness and acts of unconsciousness to a magical realism consciousness place, creating a unique naturalistic place and urban consciousness that reflect collective consciousness. In conclusion, Song’s magical realism is in fact far away from the place consciousness closely connected to his epiphany. 汪文琦 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 119 zh-TW |
