Mountains in this world appears as sometimes having gentle slopes and sometimes steep slopes. The sea, on the other hand, has a relatively flat surface; however, it will change its appearance by the blowing winds while trees grow upwards, according to their own will. If we accept these as an ecological relationship, then why can a building not grow as the appearance it should have according to its own will. We should not ignore the existence of construction shapes, and for me, architecture does not exist in an absolute form. It is only through constantly reflecting on these views that brings me closer to the building. In the realm of architecture, people actually rely on the existence of a type of the vertical and horizontal to set up a lifestyle. But, I have always pondered whether there exists another architectural language that is more worthy of our attention than the vertical and horizontal. Tilting may exist somewhere between the horizontal and the vertical, or rather it also include the vertical and horizontal . Looking at the whole thing in another way, the vertical is just a tilted line that is yet to fall, or it is a kind of tilting that is close to 90 degree angle. The same concept applies to the horizon. No matter how flat it is, it can never take on the precise digital existence in the real world. The horizontal and vertical allow people to have all kinds of imaginations, but to me the opposite is true, this tilted existence is the natural appearance of buildings, an architectural existence that allows people to gain a new understanding for the horizontal and vertical. 王為河 2015 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
