However, current option is limited and all current safety helmet still has problem like “hard to storage, taking too much space” waiting to be solved. This research is mean to demonstrate the develop route of a helmet refinement project. First of all, conduct questionnaire survey to analyze the market, using focus group to analyze 7 types of product competitiveness to get opportunity specification. The result of the opportunity specification is low price and easy storage. And using Quality function Deployment to establish design specification. The result is “Polygon”,” Compression appearance”,” Soft materials”,” Covering”,” Bandage”,” Fluffy shape”. To integrate the above specification results is core benefit proposition. And put the results in to similarity determine model then conduct blending to associate target. The association result of blending target is “ Balloon”, ”Pen Wash”, ”Honeycomb structure”. Select Balloon target by focus group method and then applied conceptual blending design. The result of blending concept is “ Helmet Air”. Results obtained in 2015 UDN award excellent work. Finally, to explore more opportunity of the conceptual design by Expert Interviews which develop the concept design “ Helmet +”.
