A Study of Leisure Activity Participation and Leisure Education Needs for the Special Education Students in Junior High Schools in New Taipei City

碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 103 === The purposes of this study were to understand the current situation of leisure activity participation and leisure education needs for the special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City, to analyze the difference of demographic factors on the current situation of leisure activity participation and leisure education needs, and to explore the correlations of leisure activity participation and leisure education needs. This study adopted the method of questionnaire survey. Through census, a total number of 378 students from junior high schools in New Taipei City were investigated. The 252 effective questionnaires were collected. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Spearman&;#39;s rank correlation. The findings of this study were as follows: 1.The special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City participated in leisure activities infrequently. 2.Entertaining leisure activity is the most popular leisure activities, whereas service leisure activity is the least popular category for the special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City. 3.The most popular leisure activities were watching TV and seeing the movies for the special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City. 4.The special education students with different backgrounds in junior high schools in New Taipei City participated in different categories of leisure activities. 5.The special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City tended to have high-intermediate level of leisure education needs, especially, leisure activity skills were of the highest priority. 6.The special education students with different backgrounds in junior high schools in New Taipei City had different needs in leisure education. 7.Leisure activity participation and leisure education needs for the special education students in junior high schools in New Taipei City were modestly and positively correlated. Based on the results of this study, suggestions for teachers, parents, students, and future studies were proposed in order to offer references.
