Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 103 === This study focused on personality traits and job stress of chairmen of departments in vocational high schools in Taiwan. Raw data was obtained by investigating the chairmen of departments those who worked in vocational high schools in Taiwan. The major research tool used for this study was structural questionnaire. The total samples were 523 and the valid samples were 509, with effective recovery rate of 96.56%. The resulting data used descriptive statistical analysis, one sample t test, independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson product-moment correlation.
In summay, the research findings show that:
1.The “agreeableness” is the hightest in personality traits aspect of the chairmen of departments in vocational high school and the “neuroticism” is the lowest of them.
2.The chairmen of departments in vocational high school show significant difference on personal traits because of gender, department, and public school or private school.
3.The “job loading” is the hightest in the job stress aspect of the chairmen of departments in vocational high school and the “decision making” is the lowest of them.
4.The chairmen of departments in vocational high school show significant difference on job stress because of gender, age, marital status, classes of them, and public school or private school.
5.The personality traits and job stress are significantly correlated among the chairmen of departments of vocational high school.
This study also offers some specific suggestions for vocational high schools to select suitable chairmen of department.
