The research methodology consisted of surveying elementary school teachers in New Taipei City with a questionnaire in the second semester of 2014 academic year. In total, 842 out of 1110 sent questionnaires were received with effective response rate at 76.5%. The research tool was self-edited “ The Questionnaire of principal’s leadership style and teachers’ well-being in elementary school in New Taipei City.” The data generated by the research tool was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one-way ANOVA and regression analysis. The conclusions were as follows: 1.The Leadership style of principals in New Taipei City has high tendency in ‘harmonious type’, ‘democratic type’ and ‘humanitarian type’. 2. The most influential factor contributing to the well-being of New Taipei City elementary school teachers is the interpersonal relationship, followed positive affect、social support、job satisfaction、and compensation and benefits。 3.In general in New Taipei City elementary school, male teachers view their principals’ leadership style as harmonious type, which has higher perception than female teachers. 4.In general in New Taipei City elementary school, subject teachers view their principals’ leadership style as task type, which has higher perception than the teachers with an additional role in administration. 5.The leadership style of principals in New Taipei City is affected by school size. In general, schools with size of 49-65 classes have higher dimension perception than schools with more than 81 classes. 6.The principles of New Taipei City show their leadership tendency in harmonious, democratic and humanitarian types, which causes teachers’ well-being to be better. 林淑珍 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW |
