Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電子工程系研究所 === 103 === The mobile device such as tablet and smart phone are becomming the multimedia center in the future. More and more user experience for everything on a mobile device, which including watching (HD) high definition movices, pictures and playing console games within 2nd HD(up to 1080P60) TV or monitor. Base on that, the interface which do (AV) audio and video output to 2nd display for mirror video application is important to be implemented with mobile device. However, the challenge is how to integrate HD media interface which could pinless for gole of slim type with mobile device today.
In the thesis, we pondered and also have done an interface bridge which could provided application for both AV data output and USB data communication, simultaneously also keep one interface with low pin count. The interface bridge used FPGA that has both of RX Serdes IPs for HDMI and TX Serdes IPs for DisplayPort, that could be used for AV data transfer. The major concept was used windows comparator which be implemented in MCU for voltage detection with both USB data mode and AV mode base on connection type of downstream device. Regarding AV mode for high definition data transfer was handlered by status machine which be implemented with MCU side also.
