It was needed to produce specific images at certain locations in space which meet the requirements in our application. We adopt the angular spectrum (AS) method which calculates the diffraction fast and has feature of plane wave in the Fourier domain. The AS was combined with the iterative Fourier transform algorithm, becoming the iterative angular spectrum algorithm (IASA). In simulating free-space propagation of optical waves by IASA, we overcome several problems such as numerical errors, conservation of energy in tilted plane, and far-field diffraction of accuracy. In demonstrating our IASA, we used the spatial light modulator to display DOEs designed by IASA, and successfully generated 3D patterns. Wei-Feng Hsu 徐巍峰 學位論文 ; thesis 0
