The middle and senior aged population keeps increasing and has surpassed the young aged in 2012. The middle and senior aged population is not only a huge group but also pay attention to their dressing. The middle and senior aged population is facing the degeneration of the body, the female is much serious than the same age male in the bone degeneration and are annoyed by degenerated body while using products. So it’s important to design the product and service for the middle and senior population. After study, most of the middle and senior female have asked others to wear the necklace because of the hard work. This study interviews middle and senior female to figure out the issue generated from the wearing process and get better user satisfaction with the improved products. The result is that operation method of 9 mm×12.7mm button clasp is much suitable for the middle and senior. Based on the available types, the 7 mm×10 mm ~ 9 mm×12.7mm dimension get better user intension, but the operation method is the main factor which affects user intention. The key design point of the clasp of necklace for the middle and senior is: (1) Better user experience; (2) Appropriate force applied area; (3) Simple operation way; (4) Solid and sense of security; (5) Suitable appearance dimension. Through the advice of the clasp style for the middle and senior, it also be design reference of clasp of necklace for designers when designing personal customized jewelry.
