碩士 === 東海大學 === 歷史學系 === 103 === 　　The current study was conducted and analyzed through the historical methods. The purpose was to discuss the interaction between the native tribe-Babuza and the Chinese in Qing Dynasty. The researcher compared and combined all of the literature to realize the origin and culture of the Babuza tribes and the circumstances of the Chinese cultivation in the Babuza areas. The researhcer also analyzed the influence of the enviornment and events at that time through historical documents. Therefore, it will help readers realize the relationship between the Chinese and the Babuzas. In the end, the researcher synthesized some scholars’ points of view to generalize the reasons of the Chinese cultivation in Babuza tribes. 　　The current study includes five parts. The first part is “Introduction”, including the purpose of the study and the use of the data. The second part is “Definitions of Babuza”. To introduce the origin, the location, cultures and customs of Babuza. The third part is ” The Reclamation of the Babuzas before the Commercial Trade in Lukang”. It discussed the status of Babuza during the Qing Dynasty, including the taxation and the conflicts between the Chinese and Babuza tribes. The fourth part is “The Changes in Babuza Area after the Commercial Trade in Lukang”. This part focused on the discussion of the land development when Babuza interacted with Chinese after the opening of the port in Lukang, the impact of the Lin Shuang-wen historical event, the enthnic group migration, and the reasons of the differences between tribe migration movements.
