It could be very help for livelihood if we applied this technique in design. Thus, this study aims to figure out the most influential factor to user behavior of the products those which possess positive and negative reinforcement of behavioral modification. The study process is, first, collecting sample products which can change one’s behavior. Second, inviting three experts to classify the samples into two groups, which are “positive reinforcement” and ”negative reinforcement”, then extract the emotion factors form the positive and negative reinforcement products by KJ method, and finally extract several products as typical samples in the study questionnaire. We did a survey among 257 students from creative and industrial academy to find out their behavioral intention and emotion toward the typical sample products. The results showing that, among positive reinforcement products, “the feeling of pleasure” is the most influential emotion factor to behavioral intention, otherwise, “the feeling of guilty” is the most influential emotion factor among negative reinforcement. Thus, the influence of behavior of positive reinforcement is more affective then knowing and using. On the other hand, the using is more affective. In the gender part, male can feel more negative emotions than female, and be affected in behavior. In the age part, the affection of negative reinforcement is lowing when one’s aging. Finally, different education backgrounds could bring different cognition in products and be affected in behavior. In Suggest, designer’s can use positive reinforcement in their designs in order to bring the best behavioral modification.
