The study adopted questionnaire survey research method. The research objects sampled elementary school teachers in Taichung city. The formal samples adopted convenience sampling, including 332 questionnaires. The total number of valid return was 292, and valid usable return rate was 87.9%. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The major findings were summarized as follows: 1. The most popular teacher’s leisure clubs which elementary school teachers always participate are listed in order : (1) exercise related clubs (2) recreation related clubs (3) entertain related clubs. The most welcomed leisure activity is badminton. 2. The highest scores of participation motives, involvement levels and recreation benefits of the subjects were “healthy and psychological Needs” , “Attractiveness” and “psychological benefits”, respectively. 3. There were significant differences on participating motives among subjects with different seniority, school size, or years of club experience; there were significant differences on involvement levels among subjects with Participation in one or multiple clubs, different school size, involvement time, or years of club experience ; there were significant differences on recreation benefits among subjects with Participation in one or multiple clubs, different involvement time, or years of club experience. 4. There were significantly positive correlations among participation motives, involvement levels and recreation benefits of elementary school teachers who are participating in teacher’s leisure clubs. Involvement levels has moderate effect to participation motives and recreation benefits. Based upon the result mentioned above, suggestions were offered for advanced researchers.
