This objective of research is to delineate the correlation between musculoskeletal disorders and the turnover/retain intention of nursing assistants. Methods: The research applied a structure questionnaire, was adapted and translated from Nordic Musculoskeletal questionnaires by the Ministry of Labor, as well as self-designed questionnaire for collecting data of personal, working, salaries and turnover/retain intention. The research subjects are native nursing assistant working on case home or institutes. There were 375 copies of questionnaires sent out, 339 copies returned, one is invalid; the response rate was 90.4%. Analysis includes descriptive (mean, standard deviation and percentages), and inferential (Chi square test, t-test, one way ANOVA, and logistic regression analysis). Results: Musculoskeletal disorders and turnover/retain intention was insignificantly correlated. Musculoskeletal disorders before involving in work, BMI (Body Mass Index) and insurance were significantly correlated with. turnover/retain intention. After controlling other variables, physical exercise, BMI, salary and insurance were significant effect on turnover/retain by using logistic regression analysis. Conclusions and Suggestions: Musculoskeletal disorders have been highly prevalent among nursing assistants, which has not affected significantly turnover/retain intention. However, musculoskeletal disorders has significantly affected the health, life, working quality, furthermore, ruined working hours, medical expense, social capital and capacity of nursing assistant. Therefore, the on-job education for preventing musculoskeletal disorder, and the safe place for eliminating risk factors should be thoroughly designed and offered by the institutes as well as the government. 碩士 === 亞洲大學 === 健康產業管理學系長期照護組 === 103 === Objectives:
Musculoskeletal disorders had been concluded as one of main causes of the turnover/retain intention of nursing assistants according to domestic as well as international literatures. This objective of research is to delineate the correlation between musculoskeletal disorders and the turnover/retain intention of nursing assistants.
Methods:
The research applied a structure questionnaire, was adapted and translated from Nordic Musculoskeletal questionnaires by the Ministry of Labor, as well as self-designed questionnaire for collecting data of personal, working, salaries and turnover/retain intention. The research subjects are native nursing assistant working on case home or institutes.
