The purpose of the study is to understand the progress of Dragonfly Beads Art Studio develops the glass bead into a brand name and how it successfully through re-define the object becoming an important part of a cultural creative industry.
An interview with the founder of Art Studio, Shih xiu Chu, reveals the unique substance characteristics, which is known by few, and how Art Studio utilizes such to transform the traditional art works into a the cultural creative industry and brings in the new value.
As the study shows, the establishment of Art Studio inspired from the enthusiasm and beloved of the tribe culture of the founder’s own. Starting from here, different strategies were developed to keep up the needs at different time frames, like from the early start up of Art Studio mainly focus on the art works introduction of Glass Beads, one of three treasures of Paiwan. Next returning the tribe to assist the Paiwan women to develop the skill and to promote a link of Art Studio and the tribe villages for development of an economy community which successfully brings up the prosperous of SanDiMen area. Why Art Studio is a successful case of the creative cultural industry resulted from a right strategy setting and effective resource management. The core concept, the culture value, is also the core value and spirit of Art Studio.
