Being in high-technology development age, data is circulated and shared through a rapid network. USB flash drive and Cloud Computing, the most two common storage devices, have expressed an essential position whether in studying or in other fields in recent years. This could be seen obviously most people own at least one or even more storage devices at the same time and spend time using these devices; moreover, each has its own functions. The main purpose of storage devices is to make life convenient in the meanwhile storage behavior is brought out. Storage behavior could be different which is depended on the users. For each unique, he or she has totally different way how to and what to manage and classify the file and data.
While few study exams storage device correlated with studying, this study investigates the correlation between studying and storage device along with course related, storage behavior, experience of utilizing, voluntariness of use and other factors. This study is to find out the reason and the correlation for their voluntariness of use those two devices. The study delivers an open-ended questionnaire to interview 16 students who are equally divided into four colleges in STUST and those participants would be in junior or in sophomore.
In this study, we could point out users storage behavior related to studying and also other correlated factors which could influence users’ behavior. Moreover, it could offer what functions users do need from storage devices according to the questionnaire and the researcher expect the results will provide manufactures with useful information to know what functions the users need.
