| Summary: | 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 數位內容與應用設計碩士班 === 103 === Horror movie is always the highly entertaining movie genre. Therefore, searching for other exciting genres becomes a way for psychotherapy. With the advent of micro movies and Internet video clips, they break through the traditional constraints of movies. Such decentralization trend makes micro movies be able to tell a complete story in a short time. With the development of the movie industry, “watching movies” becomes a popular way for recreation. In addition, Yahoo! thinks highly of micro-media trends and Taiwan’s digital audio market potential according to "Taiwan users’ video using behavior survey". Up to 70% of digital audio users will browse digital audio and video content to watch micro and short movies. The study focuses on the expressions of short horror movies and the ways how it arouses audience’s fear in a short time. Content analysis and image narratives analysis are used in this study to probe into how terror elements are conveyed in horror movies. Through literature reviews, five types of short movies will be chosen as research samples in terms of the five terrorist elements－types of monsters, creature, psychological suspense, science and bloody murder. The researcher will interpret the mode of operation in horror short movies from the perspectives provided in the literature reviews and further generalize a norm for the short horror movies.
