Besides transmitting the visual message, illustration also possesses the thinking concept and visual effect. Therefore, illustration has expanded to the multidimensional extent in the field of visual expression and influences the visual image and cognition of subjects. The constitution of the illustration may include various illustrative elements, and people are commonly inclined to describe their feelings toward images and ignore the influence by illustrative elements. To explore the issue further, this research would collect relevant data and methods so as to the important direction of the illustrative elements can be defined thorough the document to gain and analyze for the details of the illustrative elements. This research collects a large amount of Kansei words and creates experimental characters to perform the relationship investigation of characters’ illustration among the illustrative elements and images and styles. Finally, Quantitative Theory Type I would be applied to analyze the investigative statistics in this research for the sake of comprehending the influential degree between illustrative elements and visual images for subjects. According to the consequence of whole experiments, the illustrative elements such as “Materials Stroke Types”, “Outline Thickness”, “Shadow Types” and “Body Proportions” show the high effect in every style. In the meantime, “Outline Types” has the less effect on the visual images among the all illustrative elements. On the other hand, the illustrative elements like “Outline Types” and “Detailing Line Types” also have the lower influence on the visual images. Thus, this research suggests that character illustrators should select the illustrative elements which have the greater influence as the application while they want to design the visual images. 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 數位內容與應用設計碩士班 === 103 === In recent years, the expression of portrait illustration has become a type of transmitting information in our life.
Besides transmitting the visual message, illustration also possesses the thinking concept and visual effect. Therefore,
illustration has expanded to the multidimensional extent in the field of visual expression and influences the visual image
and cognition of subjects. The constitution of the illustration may include various illustrative elements, and people are
commonly inclined to describe their feelings toward images and ignore the influence by illustrative elements. To explore the
issue further, this research would collect relevant data and methods so as to the important direction of the illustrative
elements can be defined thorough the document to gain and analyze for the details of the illustrative elements. This research
collects a large amount of Kansei words and creates experimental characters to perform the relationship investigation of characters’
illustration among the illustrative elements and images and styles. Finally, Quantitative Theory Type I would be applied to analyze
the investigative statistics in this research for the sake of comprehending the influential degree between illustrative elements and
visual images for subjects.
According to the consequence of whole experiments, the illustrative elements such as “Materials Stroke Types”, “Outline Thickness”,
“Shadow Types” and “Body Proportions” show the high effect in every style. In the meantime, “Outline Types” has the less effect on
the visual images among the all illustrative elements. On the other hand, the illustrative elements like “Outline Types” and “Detailing
Line Types” also have the lower influence on the visual images. Thus, this research suggests that character illustrators should select
the illustrative elements which have the greater influence as the application while they want to design the visual images.
