Summary:碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 103 === The friction coefficient between tire and road has a great influence on the vehicle’s handling performance. Therefore, to certificate the magnitude of the friction coefficient is very important before a car executes a road testing. In this paper, the measurement for the friction coefficient between tire and road can be made using a test bench designed and developed by ourselves. In the test bench equipment, a load cell is applied for obtaining the pulling force when a test car pulls a test bench to move between them at a certain speed. In the meantime, the normal force is measured using an electronic scale. Thus, the friction coefficient is calculated when the data of the pulling force and normal force are obtained. This bench is applied to explore the factors including tire pressure, load, vehicle speed, road material, wheel tilt angle, etc. that affect the friction coefficient in this study. The reasonable related data are obtained in a variety of conditions by this equipment, and it will be a convenient and prompt test bench for a new-developed motorcycle dynamic test.
